Dim Sum Dollies & Home Improvement

Heh, if you are thinking I watched Selena Tan (Dim Sum Dollies) or Tim Allen (Home Improvement), I'm sorry to have misled you.

I simply couldn't resist coming up with that lame title for this post.

Anyway Dim Sum was what I had for lunch today. Went to Dragongate Restaurant in Harbourfront with some of the sPARKs people (everyone minus Stanley actually).

We had the Dim Sum buffet. Check it out.

Quite a spread we ordered! Photo was taken with E Hunt's camera phone. I didn't bring my camera. :( The one day I should have packed it...

In case you are wondering, sPARKs is the name of our business-plan-module project group. And its probably going to be the name of our company also, should we actually put our plan into action. More on that next time.

After such a huge meal, I really needed to work off some calories. So I decided to go swimming even though it sounded suicidal, considering the rainy and exceedingly cold weather.

Jumping into the water, I had to quickly start moving in order not to start shivering. But once I got going, it was actually pretty nice. It's been a while since I last had any exercise, so the swim was much needed.

Now about Home Improvement. I've actually rigged up a pair of old computer speakers in my room. Been wanting to do that for quite a while, and I finally got around to doing it today.

Check out my new "sound system"...

Erm... it makes sound, and its connected by a system of wires and fishing lines. So... I think it qualifies as a "sound system".

Ok... I admit it looks really flimsy and improvised. But I think it should work fine, the fishing lines should hold up.

I realised that I really like fixing up stuff like this. Simply love working with my hands!! Maybe I should start doing up my room when I have a little more time and capital.

Hmm... Put up a flat screen, some new shelving... Wonder what else I can DIY.

OH YES!! Decorative LEDs!!! How can I forget!! Waahhaha...

In case you didn't know, I've got a thing for LEDs (light emitting diodes). Just can't get enough of them. Heh Heh...
