Punggol Cycling Adventure

Just back from my cycling adventure.

I woke up at 8 plus this morning and realised that it was too nice a morning to spend cooped up at home.

So I decided to pack my camera, grab my bike and go for a ride down Upper Serangoon Road towards Punggol.

Along the way, I turned off the main road into this side track.

There I started shooting some macro shots.

Itsy Bitsy Spider... Didn't set the macro focus properly though. That's why the spider is a little out of focus.

This mimosa flower turned out ok though.

Morning Glory. There was some insect inside. But I didn't realise it until it flew out. What a waste. Would have made a really spectacular shot I think.

Just some snail on its way somewhere...

Continuing along the track, it brought me to a side road. Following the road, I came across a jogging track which I decided to explore.

I stopped to shoot these wild mushrooms (I think they are mushrooms, probably poisonous).

That's when I saw this naughty little fella.

This mudskipper was really reluctant to be photographed. And I spent a good 15 mins chasing him along the bank of Sungei Punggol before getting a good close up.

Also managed to shoot him swimming around a bit.

And when he was resting on a little piece of twig.

The co-existence of man and nature. Rare in urban Singapore.

Those flats must have a really fantastic view.

It was a really amazing trip. I definitely would be going back to shoot more photos. There are numerous unexplored little nooks and crannies.

Wonder what I'll find there. Anyone keen to join me?

Btw, full set of photos can be found here.
